Ultrasonic cleaning in the automotive industry ))

Whether injection nozzles, braking or steering components - nowadays, many automotive parts must comply with precisely defined cleanliness requirements. Ultrasonic cleaning is the optimal procedure in these cases, as it allows both particulate contaminants such as swarf and film contaminants, for example oil/grease layers, to be removed quickly, reliably and gently.

Ultrasonic cleaning technology also plays an important part in engine manufacturing in the automotive industry. To establish a homogenous surface in the cylinder bores, the cast parts are etched with caustic soda in special systems. The caustic soda reacts with the die-cast aluminum and forms an aluminate on the surface which, just like hydroxides, is extremely difficult to remove. However, the flows created by the cavitation also allow soiling to be quickly and thoroughly removed.

Weber Ultrasonics, one of the world's leading manufacturers of ultrasonic components, developed the SONIC DIGITAL digital ultrasonic generators and the matching SONOPUSH®, SONOPLATE® and SONOSUB® transducer systems for component cleaning in the automotive industry. They enable particularly safe, environmentally-friendly and economic ultrasonic cleaning of virtually all materials with reproducible results.

Ultrasonic cleaning with components from Weber Ultrasonics fulfills the automotive industry's strict requirements on component cleanliness. Our ultrasonic components and component cleaning solutions help to keep a tight rein on both quality and costs.
