Ideal Standard is among Weber Ultrasonics' first ever customers. The collaboration began with Weber Ultrasonics performing maintenance and service work on the company's existing ultrasonic systems. When the metal electroplating systems were then replaced in 2002, the company decided to go with ultrasonic components from Weber Ultrasonics. To fulfil the specific requirements of Ideal Standard, the tanks were equipped with submersible transducers and rod-style transducers with 360° radiant emittance. This ensures that all parts on the twin component holders used are evenly and optimally treated. The generators and transducers operate in the frequency range between 25 and 30 kHz.
With the restructuring of the areas for brass surface machining and electroplating at Grohe AG, ultrasonic generators from the SONIC DIGITAL range and SONOSUB® submersible transducers from Weber Ultrasonics have been in use at the company's facility in the town of Lahr since 2003. Due to its digital frequency generation, the ultrasonic system guarantees the highest precision and long-term stability. The specially matched alloy of the submersible transducers, their two-circuit electrical design and the control system employing two generators per transducer ensure maximum process stability. This pioneering concept offers Europe's largest manufacturer of sanitary fittings tangible advantages. Indeed, the brass electroplating operation now achieves higher quality, coupled with increased productivity and lower production costs. As an added bonus, it has also been possible to significantly reduce the consumption of environmentally harmful chemicals.
Aloys F. Dornbracht GmbH & Co. KG, with its headquarters in Iserlohn, Germany is an international family-run manufacturer of high grade design fittings and accessories for bathrooms and kitchens.
